About
Grameya means the local female farmer. Being from Rajasthan, people have certain apprehension that the state is completely a desert area. But our state has equally vast green lands, abundant forests, picturesque Aravalis, Perennial rivers and plenty of lakes. And Southern Rajasthan or Mewad as we fondly call it, has it all.
Our Story

I, Priyanka Aanjna, founder of Grameya, belong to farming background, I know the efforts our farmers put in to get the food on our table. Equally, when I was in my colleges be it Mody Institute or ICG Jaipur, I encountered the quality issues urban buyers have when they buy food items. Inspite of paying a hefty price, quality is always a big worry for them.
This juncture led to the birth of Grameya.
We, the entire team at Grameya, ought to help the women farmers who are equally supportive in the farming activities but aren’t even acknowledged either by their own family or the end user in the market.
So, Grameya honors and supports the women farmers by sourcing the products from them. In a rural household, the man takes care of the farms whereas the woman takes care of the cattle and the home.
We at Grameya, source the ghee from the woman who craft the ghee using centuries old Bilona method which keep the nutritional value intact. The rural practices are ethical, clean, natural, organic and 100% pure.
Also, the procurement of forest honey from the tribal communities of Sitamata Forest Reserve has not only been a boon for local ecosystem but has also bought significant positive changes in the lives of these indigenous populations. This initiative represents a sustainable model that fosters economic empowerment, environmental conservation, and cultural preservation.
The emphasis was placed on sustainable harvesting methods that prioritize the health and well-being of the bee colonies and the surrounding ecosystem. This approach ensures that honey extraction does not harm the local biodiversity.
The sale of forest honey provides a steady source of income for the tribal communities. This income uplifts their economic status, enabling them to invest in healthcare, education, and other essential amenities.

When you buy a jar of Grameya ghee, it helps a woman live her life with dignity and help her attain financial independence.
On behalf of Grameya, we thank you for trusting us to help you eat clean and healthy for life.
